8:30 – 9:30 a.m. – Legal Update
Presented by Eric Athey and Renee Lieux, McNees

In our annual healthcare legal update, Eric Athey and Renee Lieux will share what is currently happening in the legal landscape as it relates and impacts your healthcare benefits and employees. Hot topics to be covered include: ACA, Covid-19 and Compliance, CARES Act, LGBTQ Rights and Employee Benefits, HIPAA Enforcement, and HRA’s. Of course, with the upcoming Presidential transition as well as Covid vaccine distribution, there could be new impacts coming down the pike right before the session, so Eric and Renee will keep the content as current and fresh as possible so you have the most relevant and timely updates in this session.

9:30 – 10:30 a.m. – Vaccine Confidence
Presented by Dr. Nicole Parkerson, Merck & Co., Inc.

Dr. Parkerson’s presentation will educate employers and community members on what we can do to increase vaccine confidence. Included in the presentation will be the factors that contribute to vaccine hesitancy and provide an overview of how a vaccine becomes licensed and the monitoring systems in place for safety of the vaccines. Additionally, there will information on how to communicate with people about vaccines so that we can increase vaccine confidence among employees and the community.
